If dry clean only is imprinted on the care label…dry clean only!
-
We recommend hand-washing and hanging dry to keep delicate and swimwear fabrics looking fresh.
-
Separate colors in appropriate color piles, soak roughly 3 minutes, rinse out all soapy residue, and lay-flat to dry.
-
If hanging dry, be sure to use the appropriate sized cloth or plastic hanger to avoid fabric shoulder puckering.
-
Never twist, ring, or leave garments rolled-up in a towel to dry. This can cause stretching, wrinkling, snagging, or colors to bleed.
-
Satiny, silky, lacy fabrics are highly susceptible to discoloration, snagging, and other imperfections, and should always be hand-washed and hung-dry.
-
Never iron satiny, silky or lacy fabrics, as discoloration and other imperfections may appear.
-
Swimwear should always be rinsed prior to use to set colors.
-
To keep elasticity strong and colors looking fresh, always rinse swimwear after each use to remove oils, pool chlorination and other residue.
-
Hot water from hot tubs and machines can cause loss of fabric elasticity, so avoid when possible.
-
Never dry delicate garments or swimwear in direct sunlight.
-
If you opt to clean by machines, use cold water with mild detergent, and set machines to lowest wash and tumble air-dry settings.
-
Hook hooks, zip zippers, remove laces and ties, and enclose in a mesh garment bag to avoid twisting or tangling during machine cycles.
