Privacy & Security Code of Ethics
Jaded Secrets understands the high-alert security risks of today, and is extremely aware of how essential it is with keeping collected information private and secure at all times. Protecting collected information is extremely important and a main priority of Jaded Secrets. Our Code of Ethics requires that all collected information be held in strict confidence; therefore we have security measures in place to ensure the privacy and security of your collected information. To ensure we abide by our Code of Ethics policy, we collect selective relevant volunteered information exclusively, and diligently safeguard the information we do collect.
To achieve privacy and security; collected information is utilized exclusively for the purposes of which it’s being provided, and access to collected information is extremely limiting to those who need it in order to perform their jobs to efficiently serve costumer needs. We do not retain collected information including; names, mailing and shipping addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or other information for marketing purposes, unless otherwise requested by you. We will never share your collected information with anyone, without your explicit permission, or as permitted or ordered by law.
Tracking Cookies
We do not set cookies or track online activity, and we do not use nor retain browsing history or other relevant information to profile or send relevant ads to you. Jaded Secrets feels that this behavior is a major violation of one’s privacy, and that consumers should have the right to “opt-out” of online behavioral tracking, or other personal information usage, beforehand.
Jaded Secrets will never sell, spam, use, trade, share, contact, solicit nor retain collected information, without first providing an opportunity to “opt-out” or to otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses of your personal collected information.
Correspondence Management
You may receive correspondence from Jaded Secrets containing relevant information if;
· You shared your information with us and expressed your interest in receiving future correspondence from us,
· You registered, purchased or otherwise have an existing relationship with Jaded Secrets,
· You requested personalized services that you feel may more efficiently serve your needs,
· A customer only special or discount offer is being provided exclusively from Jaded Secrets,
· A special previews of new or limited products is available exclusively from Jaded Secrets,
· Advance sales, promotions, or other relevant offers are available exclusively from Jaded Secrets, or
· Any other relevant information relating exclusively to or from Jaded Secrets is being provided.
Occasionally you may receive a biweekly special offer however to avoid spamming issues we normally submit our newsletters once per month. Jaded Secrets has a zero tolerance policy regarding SPAM. Every email we send is CAN-SPAM compliant, with an “opt-out” option provided within should you ever decide at any time you no longer wish to receive email from Jaded Secrets. We will never share your information with anyone, without your explicit permission.
Policy Modifications
Jaded Secrets may occasionally use collected information for new unanticipated uses not previously posted herein. If our policy use practices should change in the future, such changes shall be posted herein, to notify and provide Users an opportunity to “opt-out” of any such changes. Users who do not check back periodically to “opt-out” shall be an implicit assertion to an explicit permissive affirmation to “opt-in” effective immediately of the policy revision date forward. However, in accordance, we may ask permission to use information collected beforehand of the policy revision date forward, as we believe you do have the right to “opt-out” at any time, in regards to the utilization of your personal collected information.
Secure Payments
When contracting with companies who process customer information (i.e. payment processing networks) the contracts strictly limits how they may use the collected information and requires that they have strong security protection in place at all time. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to offer safe and secure credit card transactions for our customers. The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card and electronic check processing networks. The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:
· 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.
· Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.
· Compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.
Relevant volunteered information, including; full name, mailing and shipping addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers are collected and retained by the payment processing and verification system chosen during checkout. All collected information is kept confidential and secure at all times and will be used exclusively for the purposes of which it is being provided including; correspondence based upon a request or regarding an orders status. To further ensure payment security, all information provided, when placing an order, must be verifiable. This policy is in place to assist us with avoiding customer identity theft, or from fraudulent charges being applied to customer credit cards.

Protecting User Identity
Identity theft is one of the fastest growing serious crimes in America and Jaded Secrets understands the implications identity theft can cause you. We take very specific steps to reduce the chances of identity theft for fraudulent purposes by implementing appropriate safety features and procedures including;
· Setting policies and procedures to ensure proper management and strong security protection of all collected information,
· Protecting against unauthorized access by limiting access to sensitive personal information,
· Requiring personnel and contracting companies to provide strict limits on the utilization of collected information,
· Requiring personnel and contracting companies to comply with laws and privacy policy procedures,
· Requiring contracting companies to have encryption codes and virus detection software when process customer information,
· Requiring all payment transactions and other collected information to be verifiable or an order may be cancelled.
Suspicion of improper utilization or unauthorized forged access shall be just cause, and we may in our sole discretion, as deemed appropriate, take such action as to block services, or ban the IP address of the offender. Under certain conditions we may prosecute the offender(s) to the fullest extent allowable by law!
If you believe your identity may have been breached, please contact one of the major consumer reporting agencies to have a fraud alert placed on your credit report. When you file a fraud alert with any one of the three major consumer reporting agencies, the fraud alert will automatically be reported and applied to the remaining credit reports.
The law requires the major consumer reporting agencies provide a free annual credit report when requested.
